There is a special rate for organized youth groups such as Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Girl Scouts, Warrior Run and Milton School District groups and teams, 4-H, and church youth fellowships. These youth groups are covered by insurance policies carried by their chartering organizations.
Youth groups must have leadership by at least two adults over age 25 who will be on the premises the entire time. These adults are responsible for the safety and behavior of the youth during the rental period. Any requirements and rules by the chartering organizations, such as clearances for adults, must be adhered to on this property.
Youth groups are encouraged to include a small service project as part of their use of the facilities, such as raking, picking up fallen branches and sticks, picking up litter along the front of the property, etc.
Weeknight rentals for youth groups is $25. Weekends may be rented at the Youth Group Rate but only confirmed by the Watsontown Memorial Community Center committee seven (7) days in advance of the rental date, as it is our community full-price rentals that pay for the utilities and maintenance of the facility.
Those wishing to book the center at the Youth Group Rate should check the reservation calendar and then contact Kate Hastings at 570-847-9558 (leave a message) or by email. The rental contract will still need to be completed, but returning Youth Group renters will not be required to post the security deposit (although will be liable in case of damage).
